Mattie's Summer Vacation

Well, It's been an eventful summer for the puppy. She loves her new home at the beach. Her best friend Windy Bay moved away. She took a road trip to Lacombe where she visited a very nice vet and then on to Lethbridge where she searched her cousin's yard in vain for sticks.



As you can see she is quite comfortable on her new leopard-skin couch.










Here is a picture of Mattie's little boyfriend who came for a visit for a couple of weeks this summer.















She's turned into a beautiful little dog with loads of personality, and she's hardly spoiled at all!

I have many friends

I am posting some pictures of my friends today. Miss Bailey is my pretty beige friend with the elegant nose. She knows how to smile pretty. Her mom is the one whose shoes I like chewing. As you can see, she is a pretty pampered girl.

She plays with me lots and likes having me around even if she won't admit it.





My other friend is one I hope to have a playdate with soon before she is too big and scary for me. Her name is Bette and she is only 14 weeks old, but she probably already outweighs me. She has the prettiest eyes and markings... and she looks a little like Wile E. Coyote.

Still a brat

I have lately taken to chewing my auntie's sneakers. This isn't very good behaviour for a guest. My mom tied these sneakers onto my collar so I will stop doing that... she hopes.

Those white specks on my nose are from snuffling in the snow.

I suppose this is somewhat akin to a public flogging...

How pitiful am I?

This is how I look when my dad has been away too long.

My mom finally got a digital camera so that she can post pictures of me. So maybe she'll up date the site more regularly.

I'm now a 40 lb tank about 2.5 feet long and about 10" high. I look like a rottweiler in my face, but a basset-hound body. All in all a very strange combination.

New friends

My mom and I are looking after two other dogs. One is a Jack Russell, who doesn't like me very much. The other one is a 90 lb Bullmastiff whose name is Hooch. I was afraid of her at first, but now we are great friends and love running and wrestling together.

I love Hooch, but my mom thinks she's kind of gross because she drools all the time. Sometimes she drools out of both sides of her mouth... then the drool connects together under her chin forming a swing. And lots of times her drool lands on my head.
